Good condition, 6,5/10, Made in Japan, some fret |
wear, including black Epiphone hardcase, the model |
number is a qualified guess but seems correct |
considering the headstock inlay and the dots |
markers, has been heavily modified by someone, the |
top has been covered with sheet music and the |
non-original pickups are a mismatch, not sure what |
brand, original Yamaha chrome tuners, lyre |
engraved stoptail, 4 black knobs, unreadable |
serial number, black neck and volute on the back |
of the headstock, more info: The Yamaha SG-510 |
was introduced in 1984 as a follow up to the |
earlier Yamaha SG-300 and Yamaha SG400 that were |
issued in 1978-1979 as an addition to the initial |
Yamaha SG line up. Yamaha SG500, 700, 1500 and |
2000 that were produced since 1976.The SG-510 was |
produced in red, black and a special issue in |
blue, with the blue being the rarest and referring |
to the famous Japanese guitarist Noyori Takanaka. |
The SG-510 is a light-weight and excellent guitar |
and its flat design and lighter weight makes it |
easy to play, it has low action with a powerful |
sound from 2 high output double humbuckers. A |
black version of this guitar was used by Andy |
Taylor of Duran Duran on the live recordings of |
Rio. |
